MANILA - A 13-year-old singer from Valencia, Bukidnon earned a standing ovation from all three Pilipinas Got Talent 4 (PGT4) judges in an episode shown Saturday night
Roel Manlangit impressed not just the judges but also the audience by belting out a Whitney Houston medley.
"You have definitely pure talent," said ABS-CBN executive Freddie M. Garcia after hearing the boy’s version of “I Have Nothing” and “I Will Always Love you.”
The boy said his family lost their home when it was swept away by super typhoon Pablo last November 2012.
Asked to perform an acapella, Manlangit easily performed Regine Velasquez’s “Ikaw.”
“I see such a bright future for you, I know you're gonna be a big star," Aquino told Manlangit.
