Willie Revillame not wecome in ABS-CBN says Executives

ABS-CBN TV Production Training and Content Development Officer Linggit Tan has cleared the network’s position on rumors that Willie Revillame is returning to the ABS-CBN. Tan said Revillame could never go back because as of now, he is not welcome in the station.
Tan emphasized that ABS-CBN President Charo Santos Concio, Channel Head Cory V. Vidanes, and Big Boss Gabby Lopez have all recently clarified that there is no truth to the speculation. She insisted that right now, the management is contented and overwhelmed to the success and popularity of its noontime show ‘It’s Showtime.’
Tan was cornered by interviewers in the recent press conference for the new set of child stars introduced in TV gag show ‘Goin’ Bulilit.’ She was asked by one of the new child stars about Revillame. She did her clarifications to answer that query.
But Tan’s controversial statement did not end there. She also pointed out that the network is not interested about the controversial male TV host anymore because his show’s ratings is ‘low.’ The TV executive stated the fact that ‘Wowowillie’ is usually gathering ratings as low as 3%. That generated laughter from the showbiz press present at the event.
Of course, Revillame is not the type who would let it just pass. In his noontime show episode last June 7 (Friday), he took a few minutes to give his take on TV executive’s opinion. Although he did not name the executive, he was clearly referring to Tan.
He was talking to a viewer live via phone patch in one of the show’s segments when he made his statement. Revillame asked why some ABS-CBN executives are still bitter despite the fact that he is not with the network anymore. He restated that he is not after the ratings. He even added that he has not sent any feelers to his former network to herald his interest to return.
But people note that the controversial male TV host could be contradicting himself. It was him who has been throwing hints that he might transfer to another network after his TV5 contract expires on October 15. He was also vocal in saying on air that he is in touch with several ABS-CBN bosses. As for the ratings, his show’s poor performance is reportedly cited as among the main reasons why TV5 is not interested in renewing his contract. According to reports, the network has been disappointed with its low ratings despite its all-out financial backing.
